Over the past month, the firm - whose interior designs have been used across sectors as diverse as retail, property, finance and airports - has secured three new store interior design contracts for "lifestyle" retailers that are due to open in the Capital in the coming weeks.
The deals, the value of which is undisclosed, include the development of the brand identity of new George Street gift shop 12 Degrees and the design and fit of Guilty's third Edinburgh store, due to open on Stafford Street next week. The other contract sees Leith-based 442 appointed by Ortak, Scotland's largest jewellery designer and manufacturer, to complete the layout, fit and design of its new store due to open at Ocean Terminal.
"It seems to be retailers over the last two or three months looking to get stuff done in time for Christmas. It's been our best month ever," said managing director David Dunn.
Guilty is a designer clothing boutique and 442's latest commission marks the group's third Edinburgh opening in under three years.
Meanwhile, 12 Degrees's owner Jo Scott has asked 442 to come up with an identity that reflects her high-end accessories and homeware products.
She said: "I asked 442 to help position my offer to stand out on George Street. I am delighted with the results."
With Ortak - whose flagship Aberdeen store 442 redesigned in 2005 - the firm has been charged with producing a design look for the store to reflect the increasing popularity of the jewellery amongst a younger market.
Since 442 was first established in 2002, the company - which takes its name from the "classic" football line-up - has bagged contracts from top names including Hearts, Rangers, Tesco, American Express, Our Dynamic Earth, Pernod Ricard and VisitScotland.
With the additional work rolling in, 442 has recently taken on an additional designer and a project manager and Mr Dunn said the firm would be looking next year to add again to its current payroll of 15.
"This has been our most successful year to date and I think we'll see a good jump in turnover this year," said Mr Dunn.
Last year's turnover was £1.2 million and that is seen rising to £1.5m in the current year."
He added: "We're also hopeful of a first entry overseas soon, possibly in retail, and are in discussions with another couple of football clubs."
