Alicia Keys has just snapped up the ultra modern, futuristic Razor House.

Designed by Wallace E. Cunningham, the house is an architectural masterpiece, featuring a mix of brutalist architecture and floor-to-ceiling glass facades that frame ocean views.

Aside from being the inspiration behind Tony Stark’s Razor Point, Malibu lair in the Iron Man film franchise, the property's incredible subterranean garage was used as a film set for the film.

Teetering on cliffs overlooking the ocean, this sleek 10,653-square-foot, concrete-and-glass mansion took six years to construct and features multiple levels and terraces.

The Razor House extends several stories below ground, so that each roof forms a terrace to the adjacent upper floor.

Spread over three main floors, the home features six bedrooms, two of which are master suites with spectacular ocean views through end-to-end, floor-to-ceiling curved glass.

The ensuite bathrooms come with walk-in showers, freestanding baths and walk-in dressing rooms.

The striking glass-framed living room is spread over two floors, connected by a curved floating staircase.

There's also a library, home cinema, fully-equipped gym, and two steam rooms.

The living room opens onto grassy area with a fire pit and built-in outdoor BBQ, along with a vanishing-edge, heated infinity pool.

While up on the roof terrace, there’s a roof-top spa, a sprawling entertaining area and sundeck offering more breathtaking views of the Pacific.

But perhaps the most spectacular feature of all is the subterranean garage. This space was used as Tony Stark's infamous basement garage where Stark’s Iron Man suit was created.

For guests – or a caretaker perhaps – there's a separate, detached, triple-level, 1,300-square-foot guest house with two ensuite bedrooms, with a separate entrance to each floor.

Completed in 2007, the oceanfront home has become a landmark in the wealthy Southern California town of La Jolla.

Alicia Keys and her music producer husband Kasseem Dean, a.k.a. Swizz Beatz, striked a great deal on the price.

The house was originally on the market for $45 million, then at $30 million, reduced to $24.995 million, with Alicia Keys paying $20.8 (£15.6) million for the abode.

Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman represented both the buyer and the seller in this sale.
