Diva: Tina Turner

Designer: Stephen Sills and James Huniford

• Giant pieces of quartz crystal were used in the fireplace, illuminated by a light from below.
• Built a platform and created a beautiful mass grouping of orchids.

Diva: Bette Midler

Designer: Mary Douglas Drysdale

• Used cool colors like orange, yellow and chartreuse.
• Repainted an old secretary table a bright color (Bette's is orange) and added it to the kitchen.

Diva: Diane Sawyer

Designer: Barry Dixon

• This self-professed bookworm had bookcases made from wooden columns.
• A bamboo shade fitted into an oversized antique frame was suspended from the ceiling by hooks as a divider.
• An oval sisal rug was tacked to the floor with chunky nail heads to keep the rug from sliding and to create an interesting border around a plain rug.

Diva: Barbara Walters

Designer: Mario Buatta

• Created a cozy media room by covering all the walls with shirred green taffeta on curtain rods...from floor to ceiling.

Diva: Jane Seymour

Designer: Roderick Shade

• Contemporary elements in this room include a sisal area rug and striped window shades
• The drapes, pillows and chair throw were made from saris from India, which the designer purchased from a small shop in Queens N.Y. He cut them apart and sewed them together.

Diva: Candice Bergen

Designer: Kitty Hawks

• Built shelving in her bathroom near her tub so she can lounge in a bubble bath, watch TV, and read a book.
