Although John and Michele Coseo of Valley Center, whose home was unaffected by the fires, only opened the Escondido-based store five months ago, they established the interior design business at the same location six years ago at 130 E. Grand Ave., where it remains today.

John Coseo said the Savannah Design Group has been in business for about 10 years. When the Coseos started it in 1999, he said it seemed like a natural move since his wife had experience working in the model home business and already had industry contacts."
