An Enchanting, Reimagined Coach House in London
Near Kew Gardens, a four-bedroom residence designed by TDO Architecture blends heritage and industrial details.
For people living in low-lying areas in Southeast Asia, flooding is a huge problem. A Vietnamese design firm, H&P Architects found a great solution by creating basic, low-cost houses with a recycled oil container base that can float on water when floods arrive. These creative homes are made from bamboo and leaves, and the roof can be opened for ventilation and closed in heavy rain. These bamboo houses are modular; they can be expanded for larger families, schools, libraries, health clinics or other community needs.
